What do you know about Hakka cuisine? Yong Tao Foo, Lei Cha (thunder tea rice), Hakka Abacus Seed, Hakka noodle are some signature Hakka dishes.
This week #dabaogram has found a Hakka bowl fusion stall that serves a medley of Yong Tao Foo and Lei Cha with rice, similar to a Japanese donburi.

What a creation! A medley of Hakka Yong Tau Foo with Lei Cha (Thunder Tea) with a touch of Japanese cuisine. According to sources, this signature dish is a combination of the current owner’s grandma’s decades-old Hakka Yong Tau Foo recipe and elements from Hakka Thunder Tea rice. The traditional stuffed Tau Foo, tasty meatballs, wide arrays of cut vegetables and fragrant Japanese rice is what keeps diners going back to Ah Lock Tofu for more.

What #dabaogram did this time round is we mixed the rice with the sauce to form the foundation of the dish. After that, the greens were plated to showcase the fresh ingredients chosen for this dish. Lastly, we gave the meatball a little bow and sliced the YTF to present the ample meat filling inside. Viola!📸
